Services

Individual Counselling

Individual Counselling provides a safe and structured space to focus on exploring needs and goals. After an initial evaluation and using evidence-based therapies, people can gain awareness and insight into their own needs and mental well-being and learn proven strategies to make positive changes.

Couples Counselling

Couples Counselling is for those looking to improve intimacy, overcome trust and communication issues. Couples learn tools to decrease conflict, improve communication, and build a more rewarding future together. Sometimes, couples seek therapy because they are considering separation; counseling provides a safe space to explore these issues and to gain insights and tools to inform their decision-making better.

Family Counselling

Family Counselling provides a safe and therapeutic space for the entire family unit. It can help understand negative family dynamics such as triangulation, parenting strategies, and parent-teen conflict and improve communication. It helps to identify each family member’s unique needs and strengths to support one another. Family counseling can decrease stress and build more effective, meaningful, long-lasting relationships.

Child and youth counselling

Child and Youth Counselling starts with an initial appointment with the parents or legal guardians. Once the counselor meets with parents to obtain information and parental consent, the counselor and child/teen meet to work on a wide range of issues which may include loneliness, peer rejection, bullying at school, anxiety, depression, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), substance use, gender/ identity questioning, and gaming addiction. The work between the child/teen and the counselor is confidential. However, counselors provide parents with tools and recommendations to address the unique needs of their child/teen.

sport psychology

Sport Psychology is an expertise that uses psychological tools and strategies focusing on athletes’ optimal performance and well-being. Professional athletes experience unique mental and emotional challenges, including performance anxiety, perfectionism, grief, and developmental and social aspects. Counseling athletes may also include understanding and addressing systemic issues associated with sports settings and organizations. Funding is available.
